I honestly am sorry that you have been rejected by the Church. God does love you. The Church is called to love you.
But, as a Christian myself, I have to say that love and acceptance are not the same thing. I have no place to speak to you about this, because I don’t know you, but I would encourage you to listen to those in your life that love you and are telling you God’s truth.
So why is it not ok to disagree with gay marriage, and make jokes about it, and look down on it; IMMEDIATLEY, everyone gets in their feelings. but its totally fine for everyone else on Tumblr to make jokes about Christianity and put the people who believe in it down? Oh its perfectly fine to believe in budiusm, or be an athiest, or ANYTHING ELSE, EXCEPT Christianity. Seriously if you guys are preaching, “equality for all” how about you do it respectfully, you won’t get anywhere trying to make yourself sound right, while putting someone eles’s beliefs down. People have different opinions, that’s life.
I think I understand a little of what you are going through here. I am a Christian. I try to be respectful to all people, even if I don’t believe their lifestyle is right (yes, I believe homosexuality is a lifestyle choice, not something you are born with). I would never look down on a gay person because they have chosen to live that way. But I, in turn, expect them to not look down on me because of the way I have chosen to live.
It all comes down to mutual respect. Gay people are, in fact, people too. Jesus called us to love them too. Does that mean they will always love us? No. But, I think, if you know what the Bible says, you will know that it will be that way sometimes. It doesn’t matter though—we were called to love them anyway—no matter what names they call us and no matter how they choose to live. And hopefully, maybe…there are gay people out there who will respect our choices too and treat us like people as well.
